Every year on July 18 the entire world celebrates Nelson Mandela’s legacy of 67 years of fighting for change with a global challenge to spend 67 minutes doing the same. In honour of this legacy, for the month of July, coffee shops in the Durban/ Upper Highway area will be donating 67 cents of every cup of coffee sold to Ingane Yami Children’s Village.
Ingane Yami is a Children’s Village located in the Shongweni/ Assagay area. It’s vision, aligned with the heart of Madiba’s, is to see orphaned and abandoned children rescued and restored, knitting them in to a loving family environment and giving them top-quality education, so that they can be released as South Africa’s next generation of leaders.
This July, simply by having a coffee at one of the participating coffee shops, you can play a part in rewriting these children’s stories.
