9th Avenue Bistro is going from strength to strength, and continues to raise the bar of culinary achievement.
If you want a really, properly spoiling lunch with someone you love, or you need some brownie points from the bank manager, get along to this temple of gastronomy and enjoy their lunch menu, which at R150 is the best value in town.
At the moment some of the choice dishes on the menu include their legendary pear salad, home-made butternut ravioli with Madeira cream and candied pecan nuts, followed by dishes including sirloin steak with pepper sauce, or grilled chicken breast with grilled vegetables and toasted almonds. Puddings include a mouth-watering crème brulée, an apple and raisin bread pudding, or a Belgian chocolate torte with home-made white chocolate ice cream … even your tea and coffee to finish are included.
To say I am a fan would be an understatement. Not for nothing is this the only restaurant in Durban with three stars in the Roussow’s guide.
