October 6, 2011. The genius founder of the Apple company, Steve Jobs, has died after a long and bitter struggle against liver cancer.
Steve Jobs, the brains behind innovations such as the iPod, iTunes and iPad, which have revolutionised the computer and entertainment industries, leaves behind a legacy of groundbreaking innovation, a passion for excellence and an army of fans, dedicated to the Apple brand.
Jobs was 56. A photographer recently snapped a picture of Jobs at his home looking very weak and frail, so his death cannot come as too much of a surprise. Jobs had taken a second long sabbatical off work before resigning for health reasons. Still, it’s a bit of a shock for millions of consumers who have at least one Steve Jobs computer or gizmo in their house.
