With the school holidays fast approaching, Giba Gorge has lined up some great opportunities for kids and adults to get to grips with the basics of BMX and mountain biking.
With the holidays fast approaching, here’s a quick run-down of upcoming MTB training clinics that will be on offer at Giba Gorge. These will be specifically aimed at beginners and novices and will accommodate all ages, depending on the dates.
BMX Clinic at Giba Gorge

With so many new girls getting into BMX and with so many others enquiring, we thought it was time to put on a girls only clinic for all level of riders, most importantly for new comers to the sport. This is an amazing opportunity to get introduced to the sport of BMX by the current number 1 BMX World Champion Teagan O’Keeffe.
Teagan is currently training in Switzerland in preparation for the Olympics, but is excited to be coming home and is really looking forward to being able to share her experience and BMX knowledge with our local girls. So grab a friend and a bike and join us at Giba Gorge for a morning of getting to grips with BMX racing. Should you not have a bike and would like to attend, please call Jeandre at KT Cycles (Bike shop in Giba) for a hire bike.
Not to be left out, the boys will be doing the same thing, but with Tyrone Johns aka TJ. TJ has a wealth of experience as well as a world number behind his name and is currently coaching various riders from novice through to experts and elites. Please feel free to join TJ at the track on the same day for introduction and intermediate lessons. You have watched the riders shoot out the start gate, now its your chance!
