Residents and media residing in the Kwazulu-Natal Region are invited to participate in an International Coastal Clean-Up this Saturday the 17th of September 2016 at Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve.
The purpose of this clean-up campaign is for the learners that are participating in the Schools Recycling Programme to increase their waste collections, allowing them the chance to stand in line to win amazing prizes at this year’s Schools Recycling Awards, a proud initiative of Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa. The Schools Recycling Programme,aims to create a generation of South Africans committed to ensuring that discarded waste does not end up as litter or on a nearby landfill site. Through the programme learners in various regions are encouraged to reduce, reuse and ultimately, recycle their litter and rubbish in order to create cleaner communities.
