November 9, 2011. China’s the word on everybody’s lips at the moment . . . infrastructure programmes and initiatives, subsidies for huge development projects in the SADC region, imports and exports, small family businesses, there’s no denying it, the Chinese revolution has reached our shores.
I recommend a quick trip down to Durban China City off Inanda Road in the Springfield Park area . . . it’s low-fi, there’s no aircon, but there’s loads of cheap, or well-priced products and food on offer. Plus it offers a unique shopping experience that’ll immediately remind those who’ve visited Asia of the vibe of Singapore and China Town. And it reminds you of just how entrepreneurial and motivated the Chinese are.
Now about that China Sourcing event in Joburg at the end of November . . . here’s an opportunity to meet quality suppliers from China, make important connections and possibly set up further business opportunities . . .
