The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games are about to hit off, which means for the next two week there is some incredible international hockey to watch.
Our men and women suit up in the Green and Gold for the following fixtures on Saturday, 7th April:
1. SA Men v Australia @ 8.20am
2. SA Women v Malaysia @ 11.20am
What better way to celebrate and support our national teams than by coming together to cheer at the telly at Riverside Sports Clubhouse this Saturday, 7th April 2018 followed by a festive bring and braai. There is some exciting action lined up for the day:
1. Because it’s an early start, Spur will be offering breakfast buns and burgers in a pop-up stand adjacent to the Clubhouse.
2. In between the men’s and ladies matches there will be mixed social hockey to play on the turf so make sure to bring/wear hockey gear!
3. There will be two giveaways for a top of the range JDH hockey sticks worth nearly R4,000 each generously donated by gotta.lovehockey
4. There will be a FINAL number auction for the season where you can buy your favorite shirt number to love and cherish at RHC.
5. There will be a brand new 2018 kit available to try on so you can ensure you order the perfect size of your brand spanking new kit.
6. Bring your own meat/food and charcoal to enjoy a lunchtime braai after the SA ladies match has finished, compliments of Riverside Sports’ great braaing facilities. Please do NOT bring your own drinks as no alcohol from outside of the premises is allowed to be consumed on RS property.
Meet at the Clubhouse at 8 am because there are some announcements and a personalised message from the SA team we’ll be broadcasting before the first game kicks off.
