Little cupcakes are baking a big difference in the lives of families with children who have Cancer. In support of this sweet charity, Gateway Theatre of Shopping is opening its heart and doors to Cupcakes of Hope on the Heritage Day long weekend.
Cupcakes of Hope brings a light-hearted touch to what can be a heavy burden on young children and their families. Volunteers, known as Cupcakes Angels, are doing the baking and Gateway is inviting shoppers to treat themselves with the tempting cupcakes.
“It’s a privilege to help where we can,” says Gateway Theatre of Shopping Marketing Manager, Michelle Shelley. “Being such a worthy cause, we wish the volunteers well in their drive to raise awareness and funds.”
The non-profit organisation is aiming to raise R3-million to assist 120 children and their families every month by covering their medical and essential needs.
