Dare2Share

By The Ridge Magazine11/07/20172 Mins Read

I Care and the Denis Hurley Centre, NGO’s working to find sustainable solutions to the challenge of street children and the homeless and vulnerable people of our beautiful city, are asking the public to join us again for this year’s 3rd iDare2Share campaign, taking place on Friday 14th July 2017.

This year we have moved the event to the safe space of the Denis Hurley Centre’s Cathedral Mall. This is a great opportunity for our community to engage with the more vulnerable citizens among us; by sharing your time, a meal, and some music with the homeless.

Isaiah 58:7- “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless.”

The evening will start at 6pm, with an opening prayer service in the Cathedral and end at around 10.30pm with the option of sleeping over. Gates open at 5pm for registration

We ask that you aim to raise R1000, by getting your friends to sponsor you (R100 of which will be used as your admission fee); the money raised will go towards I Care and the Denis Hurley Centre, to continue the important work that we do with Durban’s homeless.

Dinner will be provided, and we ask that you bring cooldrink and something sweet to share with the homeless.

There will be live music performances, including John Ellis, Michael Wagner, Campbell Colledge and others.

Do something daring! Help to raise money for two worthy causes, while gaining a priceless experience and a changed outlook of the less fortunate.

Blue Security will be “Keeping us Safe”!

We look forward to sharing this experience with you!
