Inspirational eco-adventurist Patricia Glyn recently gave an astounding talk at Norton Rose Fulbright about her book, “What Dawid Knew”.
“What Dawid Knew” talks about Patricia’s experiences with Dawid Kruiper, who was the elected traditional leader of the Khomani Bushmen.
Patricia helped Dawid and three generations of the Kruiper family on an expedition through the Kalahari, to visit the places where Dawid and his relatives before him had once freely roamed.
The photographs and video footage they collected reveal the horrific treatment the Bushmen received but also show that, thanks to people like Patricia, efforts are still being made to pass on their skills and heritage to future generations.
Patricia stopped her emotive presentation just short of revealing Dawid’s secret, which can be found in the book.
