Grown men in pink tights, merkins and lashings of coq……feathers? It must be the cult all-male all-madness musical revue Doo Bee Boobies. Last seen here at the Playhouse Drama 16 years ago, the Doo Bee Boobies cast are back – somewhat older and a lot more tired, but still more than capable of camping it up with a vengeance.
Following rave reviews in Johannesburg last year, this infamous cult favourite returns to show all the young whippersnappers out there how true-blue comedy revues should be done. That is, with tongue firmly in (butt) cheek!
Mark Hawkins’ Very Very Big Productions is presenting the grand comeback season of this “very, very expensive” all-singing, all-dancing, all-male revue, at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from May 17 to 29. You have been warned….
