For a spectacular day of aviation delights, join the crowd at Virginia Airport for a non-stop show that has lots to offer the whole family. As per last year the programme has been condensed into one action-packed day. Prizes to be won, plenty of food and drinks courtesy of the Durban North Rotary and daredevil displays to get the hearts pounding. A highlight of last year was the sensational helicopter displays.
Spokesman for the event, Ray de Vries, said the organisers carefully studied the history of weather patterns during July before selecting a date for the event. He said he was very excited about the programme (still to be announced) and was confident of a successful event in 2011.”There is a very exciting line-up, about which you’ll get the full details shortly. Fans of airshows, aerobatics, planes and helicopters be assured this is going to be a show not to be missed,” Ray told The Ridge Online.
