In a never ending series of firsts for the City this year, the latest and one of the quirkiest is Durban Duck Day.
Down at the Yacht Mole off Victoria Embankment on 15 July – this day will be completely duck themed! There will be a “best duck costume” competition, a “best duck hat”, and many other duck events, culminating in 10 000 ducks which can be purchased for R40 a duck, setting out on a race to a pre-designated finish line, with the winner scooping up to R10 000 for its owner.
Our harbour area really is becoming an asset to the City … maybe this will get you and your family down to see how much is happening!
