Kloof Conservancy will be hosting an Easter Fun Dog Day and Craft Market on Sunday 13 April at Kloof Memorial Park.
Come and join Mandy Barratt and her team for a day of fun with your dogs!
The event will run from 9am to 2pm and will feature: a fun dog show (which anyone can enter); a fun dog walk; and a craft market. Food and refreshments will be available and there will also be plenty of fantastic prizes to be won.
Proceeds from the event will go to Pug Rescue and Kloof Conservancy.
Kloof Conservancy’s role, with a long-term involvement and commitment to Memorial Park, is to encourage the responsible use of the park.
Last year, funds raised during the dog event were used to erect notices encouraging park users to help protect the indigenous flora and fauna by keeping their dogs out of the wetlands and grasslands and to please pick up their dogs’ mess. Unfortunately, most of the signs were intentionally removed by unknown persons.
The streams that flow through Memorial Park have the highest e-coli count of all streams feeding Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, so Kloof Conservancy will continue to try and persuade all park users to respect the environment and the rights of all users to a pollution free park.
