Make the most of the glorious weather with a whimsical, unfussy Easter high tea. No stress here!
For a sophisticated Easter table substitute stone bunnies and speckled eggs for the usual yellow chicks and chocolate eggs. An asparagus green tablecloth gives a natural feel to the setting and provides a perfect backdrop for other pieces on the table.
“Make the most of the flowers in your garden, taking full advantage of beautiful full blown roses and the colours of the moment. We chose a palette of blues and greens, with a joyful touch of yellow. April is best for delphiniums. tulips and tuber roses. Ask your florist for wood-rose vine or pick some jasmine from your garden – it will lend a sense of movement to the arrangement.”
On the menu is homemade lemonade, a fresh fruit starter and a sharing platter of artisanal breads, cheese and smoked meats. And for dessert? Easter eggs, of course!
