In the United States and Europe EQ, or emotional intelligence quotient is being used more and more as a benchmark of an employee’s worth. The days of IQ being the only way to judge a candidate are long gone, and inter-personal skills are the new mark of those singled out for promotion.
In schools such as Wellington College in England, it is taught on the curriculum and pupils’ scores have been linked to personal happiness, the success of familial relationships and even life span.
Now, EQ courses have come to Durban. the first running from 25th February to 1st March at Calissa Lodge in Westville. This course is the Emotional Intelligence Certification and will give you an in-depth understanding of the way EQ can be used as a tool in all aspects of your life.
From the 4th to the 7th March at the same venue you can do the EQ Coach course which will do an in-depth analysis of your personal EQ and the powerful and positive Six Seconds Change Map, a tool to reinforce your journey towards enhanced EQ and change in your life.
Finally, on the 11th and 12th March the EQ Educator course is lead by Susan Stillman, the Six Seconds Director of Education. This intensive course will give you the equipment and knowledge to use what you learn in the workplace, in schools and in your own life for change. These courses are highly recommended and you will be at the forefront of a growing movement that is tailor made for the 21st Century.
