Stunning orchids and rare plants will be the stars of the show at the Fairway Orchid and Rare Plant Fair to be held at 118 Fairway, Durban North on Saturday, 21st July 2018.
Orchids, Staghorns, Bromeliads, Cycads, Succulents, Palm Trees, Bonsai, Tillandsias, Heliconias, Nepenthes and aloes– just to name a few – will be on display and for sale. The Natal Orchid Society will also be showing some beautiful orchids which are in flower at the moment and the public can view them throughout the day.
“The interest in Orchids continues to grow,” says Melanie van Greunen, organizer of the fourth Orchid and Rare Plant Fair in Durban North, “our show offers the opportunity to buy new plants as well as getting insights into growing and caring for orchids and other rare plant species.”
“There are potting and mounting demonstrations held throughout the day,” adds van Greunen “and with the experts on hand to provide guidance on nurturing, it makes the Fair the ideal opportunity to brush up on your knowledge of these beautiful plants.”
The Fair will have a variety of vendors with plants for sale and the popular plant demonstrations will be held during the course of the day, with some of the beautiful specimens will be given away as prizes form raffles tickets that will be available at the Fair.
A tea garden will be open all day serving coffee, tea and cake and light lunches.
