November 13, 2011. News reports state that former Bok flanker Solly Tyibilika, who also had a stint with the local KZN Sharks, has been shot dead in Cape Town.
Tyibilika, 32, played eight Test matches for the Springboks between 2004 and 2006. He played provincial rugby for the Sharks, Lions, the Southern Kings and Border.
The Ridge understands that Tyibilika was killed after shots were fired at a Gugulethu tavern.
