Local psychologist Colleen Fouche and her daughter, audiologist Claire, are ready and eager to take on the 2016 Two Oceans Half-Marathon in support of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).
“This cause is close to our heart,” says proud husband and father Johan Fouche of Adviceworx Kloof. “My wife, Colleen, is a cancer survivor and winning this battle changed her outlook on life. It prompted her to strive to lead a healthier and more physically active lifestyle. She focused her energy on running with the encouragement and support of family and friends, especially my daughter Claire.”
What initially started out as a hobby has now turned into a way of life for the mum and daughter duo.
The pair are running as part of the Runners Against Cancer team, which raises funds for CANSA, and has set a target of R1 000 000 for this event. It is important to note that all money raised will go directly to the charity.
