‘Free to be…’ the exhibition opens at Longmynd Art Gallery at 6pm on Wednesday, 4 November 2015 and will be marked by a performance by Count Filip Kormuth, local concert pianist, composer and pedagogue.
The exhibition brings together six local artists with diverse styles and approaches to their subject matter. The artists are: Sue Whitmore, Hilary Grant-Currie, Margie Currie, Michelle Offerman, Janine Holloway and Lara Melon. They have created work around the theme ‘Free to be’, allowing each artist to explore their individual interpretation of freedom in life, in nature, and in being.
The artworks range from oil paintings to charcoal sketches, ink prints to mixed media. The exhibition promises to be an exciting mix of work that allows the viewer to travel down their own road of interpretation.
