The Westville Civic Centre is the venue for a locally produced play entitled “The Ring”, which is being performed this October in support of the Open Door Crisis Centre.
“The Ring” tells the story of a girl named Roxanne. As an adopted young girl, Roxanne had a good but average life with her parents, never lacking in care and love. From a very young age, she was infatuated by the magical mysteries of the circus. This infatuation was fuelled by her regular visits to the Big Top.
However, as life and destiny’s twisted sense of humour would have it, Roxanne was driven out of her comfort zone and into a world of make-believe, through circumstances beyond her control. She found her purpose in the circus, but destiny still has a few tricks up its sleeve before the finale.
Join us as we experience the adventure of a lifetime through the eyes of Roxanne. “The Ring” runs from 1 to 11 October at the Westville Civic Centre. Doors open at 19h00 and the show starts at 20h00 each night, except for the matinee performance on 4 October when doors open at 13h30 and the show gets underway at 14h30.
A bar will be available but you are welcome to bring your own picnic basket.
