Bringing joy to vulnerable children, the Santa Shoebox Project distributes thousands of personalised boxes of love, compassion and joy to children all over the country.
“Sharing the festive spirit is close to our hearts,” says Michelle Shelley, Gateway Marketing Manager. “Helping to bring joy and hope to children who need it the most, we are once again a proud venue sponsor for the Santa Shoebox Project. It’s super-convenient for visitors to drop their boxes off at the collection zones during November.”
The main collection drive is being hosted over three days, from Thursday 10 November to Saturday 12 November, when a mass collection point for packed, personalised boxes will be accessible at Gateway on Palm Boulevard (near Tashas and the Valet Parking on Palm Boulevard) between 8 am and 5 pm each day.
The project is in its seventeenth year and the NGO has identified eight items that should be included in each box. These are: a toothbrush, toothpaste, an outfit of clothing, a facecloth, soap, school supplies, a toy and sweets. All items should be new and age-appropriate.
