This month marks a huge milestone for Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga as the centre celebrates 10 years of fashion, fun, shopping and entertainment. In recognition of this, Gateway has rolled out a massive birthday campaign it has described as “life-changing”.
Centre Manager for Gateway, Adrian Raw, said, “To be celebrating 10 years in trade is a significant milestone. Naturally, we want to share our celebrations with our customers who have been instrumental in our success and continued strength in the retail industry.”
Gateway’s going BIG, and has decided to give away a prize that would give one lucky shopper the chance to live large and enjoy a year of beach living, entertainment, enjoying time abroad, driving in style and so much more. “The Race to Riches” competition really offers to make someone’s dream come true for a year.
10 lucky finalists were selected on September 20:
- Spend R200 or more at Gateway Theatre of Shopping (remember to keep your till slip as proof of purchase)
- Fill in an entry form found in store and at the Info Desk; or alternatively SMS “Gateway Birthday” to (43184)
- 10 finalists were selected from the entries on 20 September 2011 and notified via telephone
- Each finalist picks a “partner” with whom they will carry out 10 tasks (get your trainers on and prepare for action-packed, adrenalin pumping adventure!)
- Tasks will be performed on September 24 and October 1.
- On October 8, the ultimate winner of all challenges will be announced (voted for by the public) at a VIP event at the Wave House, Gateway where the International Flow Champs will be taking place as well as a concert featuring local bands, which is free to the public
The winner of Gateway’s Race to Riches will win the following prizes:
- An Audi A1 Car (yours to keep!)
- Cool coastal living rent free for a year at the scenic Sovereign Sands on Blythedale Coastal Resort
- R1 000 a month free petrol for a year
- An education policy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal
- R2 000 a month free groceries for a year from Checkers Gateway
