Fay and Megan Coleman have been transforming lives through their makeover consultancy since 2008. Now, they bring you Seasons by Image Insured – a fashion range that will revolutionise the way you shop

What began almost 30 years ago when Fay Coleman completed an international accreditation in image consulting has blossomed into a powerful instrument for change, transforming lives, one makeover at a time. “We are passionate about helping women, from 13 to 85 years of age,” she says. “It’s incredible to see how a person’s attitude changes when they see a more polished version of themselves in the mirror.”
After her reign as Miss South Africa in 2007, Megan joined her mom and Image Insured was born. Since then, the mother-daughter team have been inspiring men and women across KZN and beyond with their poise, elegance and tireless work ethic. After two years working from their home studio, the pair moved to 72 Old Main Road, Kloof, where they expanded the business to include Kryolan Make-up.
October 2016 saw the start of an exciting new chapter, when Image Insured moved to the Delcairn Centre in Kloof and launched their exclusive clothing range – Seasons by Image Insured. “The search for the right location has taken almost two years and we have seen God’s hand in every stage of the process,” said Fay and Megan, who have dedicated Image Insured to the Lord.
Their new shop is light and airy, designed to be a luxurious place where every visitor feels pampered and the team can practise their philosophy of making everyone feel special.
Over the past eight years, Fay and Megan have conducted hundreds of makeovers (many of which you would have seen on the pages of this magazine) and they will continue to hold consultations in a beautiful studio in their new shop. Through that, they have learnt a vast amount about women – what makes them feel confident, comfortable and ready to take on the world – as well as the difficulties they face when shopping.
Every makeover begins with a colour analysis, which establishes which season you fall into – spring, summer, autumn or winter – and whether you have warm or cool skin tones. From there, the team can move on to selecting styles that balance your figure. “We have found that a lot of our clients battle to repeat the process after our shopping spree, as the shops don’t always stock the styles they need,” says Megan.
Seasons by Image Insured is one of the first colour co-ordinated clothing shops in the country where the entire clothing range is colour-coded to suit the four seasonal groups.
“We have put an incredible amount of time and effort into developing this range, choosing styles that we know will suit all body types,” says Fay. “Each fabric and style has been personally chosen by us and we have used a Durban-based CMT to manufacture our range. We have chosen quality fabrics and paid fanatical attention to detail, taking all factors into account, from shrinkage to colourfastness. The range varies from XS to XXL.”
