Mandela Day is entrenched in our culture as the day where everyone spends 67 minutes of their time to giving back and Highway Hospice welcomes all volunteers on the day. They would love for you to help them with several projects they have in mind!
Volunteers:
Some volunteers are needed to paint and neaten up the Day Centres in Umlazi, Chesterville, Inanda and Phoenix. Some of the outpatients in these areas live in very sad conditions and Highway Hospice would love to go in, put on a coat of paint and have a bit of a spruce up. They also need help at their Sherwood premises.
Donations:
Volunteering time is wonderful but please also remember that paint and cleaning products are needed to get the work done. As usual, Highway Hospice welcomes food parcels too! You could spend your 67 minutes at your local supermarket putting together a food parcel for the orphans and vulnerable children’s programme. Helping:
If you can spend the 67 minutes selling raffle tickets at your office or making and selling cupcakes, please give Cathy a call on 031 208 6110 or have a look at the Highway Hospice Wish List and see if there is anything you can help with.
Challenge:
