Former Proteas and Dolphins Cricketer Jon Kent, the event’s ambassador, says: “Hi, my name is Jon Kent, I am a professional cricketer who has represented South Africa and Dolphins. I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 10 years old. Leading a healthy and active lifestyle you are limitless!. Diabetes has taught me responsibility and discipline, which has stood me in great stead in all facets of my life. I’m very proud to have represented South Africa and the Dolphins team, and being the sports ambassador for this event gives me the opportunity to meet fellow diabetics. I’m really excited about this event where we can raise awareness and have a fun-filled day together!”
**MC for the event is local wellness celebrity and fitness specialist Lisa Raleigh. Lisa will also be providing demonstrations on salsa size, kickboxing and yoga with her team, and will educate the public on diet and exercise
