Go green with Hirsch’s

By The Crest Magazine06/12/20111 Min Read
Follow these easy tips to being more eco-friendly

The founder of Hirsch’s, Allan Hirsch was guest speaker at a networking breakfast held recently at Hirsch’s Hillcrest branch and his subject was very much in keeping with the current topic of keeping the planet “green”.

“Allan spoke about ways that you can improve your home by going green and how easy it is to adjust,” said Hirsch’s PRO Sarah Poulsom. “He also went through appliances that are ‘Green’ and made the audience aware of simple things like right-handed people normally turn on the hot tap because it is the first tap in reach.”

“It is really easy to start being aware of your environment,” says Allan. “Start with small steps, like recycling your household waste, watching how much water you use when filling up a kettle and turning lights off in a room when you are leaving it. With just a few changes, you can make a positive environmental impact without realising it.”

For more about Hirsch’s, visit the company website.
