If you have seen the article in The Ridge this month about the wonderful Guy Buttery, our locally grown muso, you will not want to miss his gig with Alhousseini Anivolla from Niger at the Alliance Francaise. This really is a fantastic mixture of musical sounds, encompassing all that is great about the musical diversity of Africa.
This fantastic concert is part of their South African tour called ‘Sahara meets Indian Ocean’, and when you realise that Guy speaks only a few words of French and Alhousseini only a few words of English it is miraculous just how incredible they sound together on guitars.
Doors open at 7pm, tickets are R90 or R70 for members of the Alliance Francaise.
