It’s that time of year again and Halloween is upon us. This strange celebration is rooted in the Celtic festival of Samhain, when the New Year was celebrated on November 1st, and it was thought that the divisions between the spirit world and our world were blurred.
Bonfires were lit, and animal sacrifices made. Masks were worn, and the celebration has continued with the addition of child friendly activities such as trick or treating. One quarter of all candy sold in the United States in sold for Halloween!
This year Ushaka will be celebrating in style, with their brand new ‘House of Fear’ now open. On Friday 26th October under 18’s can dance the night away at Wet and Wild with U party jocks and a freakish party zone!
There will be special themed dolphin shows, an Ushaka Pied Piper, prizes for the best costumes and much much more. Tickets for the under 18 party are R120 for normal entry and R250 for VIP, and the Halloween dolphin shows are R100 each with under 3’s going free.
