The fifth mum’s m@il High Tea in association with The Sunflower Fund was held on September 3 at the Hellenic Hall in Durban North.
The event, which comprised a morning of talks, tea, entertainment and prizes, was attended by 430 women. A total of R78 664 was raised for The Sunflower Fund which will enable them to recruit 78 new bone marrow stem cell donors to include on The South African Bone Marrow Registry.
The ladies were entertained by three guest speakers: Mike Byron spoke on “From Warfare to Wealth”; Ingrid Roberts delivered her talk entitled “What Every Woman Needs to Know” ; Norma Young, the Johannesburg Bureau Chief of O magazine inspired the audience with her talk on “After Yesterday”.
