Help those with leukemia

The Sunflower Fund helps patients with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders find matching donors for bone marrow stem cell transplants

The glamorous high-profile The Sunflower Fund ‘Circle of Life’ Charity Ball in Association with IBV International Vaults has been scheduled for Friday 18 May at the Elangeni Hotel and will pay tribute to those who form part of The Sunflower Fund’s circle (patients, leukaemia survivors, donors, doctors, volunteers, parents, supporters and the community) and aims to raise money for The Sunflower Fund.

All the money raised will be used for the tissue typing of potential bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry. The more donors on the Registry, the more hope leukaemia sufferers have of finding their 1:100 000 donor match.

MC and Story Teller Gcina Mhlophe surrounded by ball committee members Sue Hudson, Janine le Roux, Stephanie Berry and Lisa Norris

Tickets to the ball are R600 per person or R6 000 for a table of ten which includes complimentary wine, a three course meal, an Elizabeth Arden gift for each lady and amazing entertainment.

To help The Sunflower Fund achieve their objective of creating a comprehensive and accessible bone marrow registry, please book your seat by phoning Stephanie Berry on 078 207 9041 or emailing steph@sunflowerfund.org.za

Prizes and auction items are also needed and would be greatly appreciated.
