Hillcrest Conservancy has pleasure in hosting a Holiday Nature Club for the younger members of their community at Springside Nature Reserve (entrance at 93 Springside Road, Hillcrest) on Friday 9 January.
The theme is “Getting rid of invasive alien plants” for children aged between 7 and 12 years. They will learn about invasive alien plants, take a walk to find and remove them in Springside Nature Reserve, make an invasive alien plant identification collection, and plant an indigenous plant to take home.
The event takes place from 9h00 to 12h00 at a cost of R80 per child. Apples, biscuits and juice will be provided. If you would like to pack an additional healthy snack for mid-morning, please do so.
