Colin Cary, Hirt & Carter CEO, described the move as “yet another step in the general process of technology convergence in the communications industry, and particularly in the evolution of Hirt & Carter”.
Cary (pictured left with Paton Tupper MD Colin Woodcock) believes that technology is often moving faster than users can harness it, and the linkage between Hirt & Carter and Paton Tupper will benefit clients of both companies by providing opportunities to link both creative and technical innovation.
Woodcock said this was a very positive move in the evolution and growth of the agency and that there are very real synergies between the two companies which will benefit their clients. Paton Tupper, a design agency with a reputation for excellent service and cutting-edge creativity will continue to operate independently with no change in management or business strategy.
Hirt & Carter is well known for the wide range of print and software-driven retail solutions it offers, and sees the association as an opportunity to advise designers how advanced technical capabilities can be catered for at the design stage, and thus enhance overall communication effectiveness.
Hirt & Carter and its associated print partner, Uniprint, has been acquired by the JSE-listed company Avusa.
