New Balance IMPI challege set for KZN debut
Adrenaline junkies, prepare for the next sporting high, the New Balance IMPI Challenge on Saturday, 18 May 2013 at Virginia Trails, Eston (KZN).
According to Pieter Du Plessis, Race Director, the goal of the New Balance IMPI Challenge is to one day host a national championship. “We scouted ten different venues before making a decision on a venue for KZN. Virginia Trails, Eston ticked all the boxes. After the event we will reassess the date and venue, but are positive that this venue will add to the New Balance IMPI Challenge experience. Participants can look forward to overcoming challenging obstacles while having a whole lot of fun,” says Du Plessis.
The New Balance IMPI Challenge combines trail running with a military style obstacle course. Challengers will need to complete 18 extreme obstacles that will be set up over 12 gruelling kilometres. Venues for the New Balance IMPI Challenge are specifically chosen for their exclusivity and ability to accommodate fun obstacles that will challenge participants both physically and mentally in the ultimate adventure challenge.

Format: Participants can enter individually or as part of a team (teams vary in size from 2 – 10 people, although you start together, you do not need to finish together)

Community Support: The New Balance IMPI Challenge supports the Woodside Special Care Centre, a private residential home for intellectually and physically disabled children and young adults. Established in 1976 the Woodside Special Care Centre offers a wide range of services designed to promote the development of each of its children.
