This wonderful and heartwarming play runs at the Stable Theatre in Durban from 12th to 16th March. We live in the Zulu Kingdom, and this lovely little vignette for children seeks to educate us about the Nguni cattle’s importance to Zulus.
A Zulu community is judged and rated on how many Ngunis they own, and each cow is known by its distinctive markings. The rare pure white or black cows are kept by the King and he acts as their guardian.
Dizzy Dragonfly Productions have brought the story of these cattle to life, with Clinton Marius both directing and responsible for the beautiful puppets which are an integral part of the play.
Performances will be every morning at 10am, and children will all learn a lot about local culture while being beautifully entertained.
