Follow in the King’s footsteps at the King Shaka Trail Run and Queen Nandi Night Run on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March.
The event, which starts at Dube Tradeport, La Mercy, has something for the whole family.
The Queen Nandi Night Run is a free 10km/5km night trail-running race that takes place on Saturday 22 March. The theme is lumo and glow-in-the-dark so be sure to wear your loudest neon kit!
The King Shaka Trail Run is a 25km/10km/5km run, with the shorter routes geared for beginner and intermediate trail runners, whilst the 25km route will prove to be a challenge for stronger runners.
All of the trails go past South Africa’s largest roosting area of the migratory Barn Swallows, who flock every evening over the Lake Victoria Wetland to roost.
Registration takes place from 5pm to 6pm on the 22nd March for the night race and from 5am to 6am on the 23rd March for the King Shaka run.
