7pm to 8pm Presentation by Dr Debra Roberts – “A global roadmap for climate change action: from COP17 in Durban to COP21 in Paris”
Dr Debra Roberts heads up the Environmental Planning and Climate Protection Department at eThekwini Municipality. Dr Roberts is internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading climate change scientists and is part of the South African negotiating team at the COP talks. She will update us on the latest developments with specific feedback on the COP21 talks which were held in Paris in December 2015.
