KZN’s premier business relay, the KPMG Business Relay, has been postponed to next year to accommodate a last minute decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to move the Africa Cup of Nations international football game between Bafana Bafana and Sudan to the Moses Mabhida Stadium to this Saturday, 15 November at 3pm – the exact date and time of the event.
Despite the fact that the event was booked in May this year, international events take precedence over any other event.
The Metro Police issued an injunction preventing the event taking place on the same day, as the roads used for the relay are very close to the stadium. Furthermore, CAF takes over all the activity in the city for the day and wants the focus to be entirely on the football.
The event will now take place at 3pm on Saturday, 7 March, 2015. All entries and site bookings are automatically transferred to the new date.
The sponsors apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused but unfortunately it has been completely out of their control.
