To mark and celebrate the release of Grey Matter, Lloyd Cele is returning to his home province for two exciting shows.
Join Lloyd and his renowned band Africa Plus, directed by Prince Bulo, as they perform new songs off the album, as well as some of Lloyd’s well-loved hits.
Shows will take place on the 30th of October at the Winston Churchill Theatre, Pietermaritzburg and on the 31st of October at Krakatoa, Sibaya Casino Durban. Tickets will be available for R80 at Computicket, R100 at the door or R150, which include a signed copy of Grey Matter.
Lloyd’s sound is about embracing South Africa’s diverse culture, racial groups and musical influences and fusing them together in his music. Grey Matter, largely written by Lloyd himself, is no different and this is highlighted by the unprecedented, simultaneous release of 3 singles to launch the album.
“Ngiyakudinga Mtakwethu” (All I Need Is You) a Zulu song featuring Brian Temba, the Afrikaans single “Dans Met My” and an English single “Who Needs You” have all been unleashed onto the airwaves at the same time and have been playlisted on the top radio stations for those genres.
With his 3rd child on the way, this marks an exciting period in Lloyd’s life in which he further seeks to cement the top spot on the charts and unite the people of South Africa through music.
