Mad Hatter High Coffee

By The Ridge Magazine18/10/20132 Mins Read

In recognition of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PinkDrive, in association with Protea Hotels, will be hosting five Mad Hatter High Coffees in four cities across South Africa throughout October and November.

The Durban Mad Hatter High Coffee will be held at The Protea Hotel Umhlanga Ridge on 23 October.

Guests can look forward to scrumptious savoury snacks and delectable sweet treats, a talk by a breast cancer survivor, warm-roasted coffee, the auctioning off of a beautifully crafted hand-made headwear item donated by The Little Hattery, and some fabulous prizes.

Janice Benecke, PinkDrive ambassador and breast cancer survivor, will be speaking about her experiences with cancer including the loss of her husband to the disease. With the support and love of those close to her, as well as her own determination, she has gone through it all and come out as strong as ever. Mad Hatter High Coffee

PinkDrive is a Cause Marketing Fundraisers initiative, founded in 2009 for the sole purpose of providing medically uninsured women with a chance to demystify the myths about breast cancer and learn more about breast health. With South Africa’s first Mobile Mammography Unit and a Mobile Educational Unit, PinkDrive travels throughout Gauteng and other provinces, providing much needed breast health services and education, and spreading the message that ‘Early Detection Saves Lives’.

For more information, visit www.pinkdrive.co.za or email coffee@pinkdrive.co.za. Seats are limited so booking is essential, as there are only a few seats left.
