With over 70 years of rich academic, sporting and cultural history, Northwood is an integral part of the North Durban community, accommodating 1 100 day boys and 150 boarders situated on their expansive grounds.
Northwood recently opened the Victor Daitz Centre of Innovation which spotlights their focus on future-proofing the diverse generation of boys in their charge. In addition to being one of the leading institutions producing Engineering, Graphic and Design students, as well as offering AP Maths, Northwood have added Computer Coding, Robotics and Drone Technology to their daily academic timetable.
Northwood’s sport and culture departments are underpinned by encouraging each boy to discover their unique talents and potential within an environment offering world-class facilities and experienced professionals. The school currently offers 37 extra-curricular activities, ensuring that every boy has an opportunity to participate across a broad range of sport, cultural and service clubs.
