Mo Magic!

By The Crest Magazine26/04/20122 Mins Read
Mo Magic

One of South Africa’s most sought after magicians, Mo Magic, brings his first solo show to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, on UKZN campus from 25 to 29 April 2012.

You may have heard Mo Magic on East Coast Radio when he took part in “The 2011 Cricket World Cup Experiment”, correctly predicted the two teams to meet in the final, the winning team, winning margin and the man of the tournament.

After a decade of entertaining celebrities and TV audiences, the world class entertainer will finally make his theatre show debut in Durban. Dubbed the “James Bond of Magic”, his suave style and professionalism have earned Mo Magic numerous features in TV, radio, newspaper and magazines locally and abroad.

Mo Magic intends to not only amaze you, but to reveal “the amazing you”. Expect to be entertained and enlightened, knowing that you too can live your dreams. He uses his personal experience as well as his passion and talent for the art of magic to share empowering secrets that have transformed his life allowing him to “live his passion and enjoy the magic within it”.

Mo Magic will amaze you with his sleight of hand

“I am excited to share my ‘Amazing You!’ production with audiences and am certain that they will enjoy the magic and be delighted with the powerful life-enriching insights presented,” says Mo Magic. “When we are true to ourselves and follow our passion, we see the Magic of Life reveal itself, and we continue to prosper, thereby creating the quality of life we choose for ourselves.”

During a period of self-discovery while completing a degree in electronic engineering, Mo Magic uncovered his interest in magic. Applying his life-lessons, the fascination soon developed into a passion as he leapt from beginner to amateur then turned professional while working as an engineer for Toyota South Africa. After balancing his engineering and magic careers for six and a half years, Mo Magic decided to focus exclusively on entertainment.

His 90-minute performance showcases his favourite effects and routines from the past decade. Audiences can expect to be left spellbound as the showman elegantly demonstrates his superb skill, including sleight of hand, mind reading, metal bending, illusion, psychology and audience participation.

Tickets cost R100, R120 and R140 (Reduced price performance on 26 April. Tickets R100 throughout) and are available through Computicket.
