If you’re ship shape and love the sea, splash out and enter the biggest beauty pageant in KZN, the Mr, Miss or Junior Miss uShaka Marine World competition.
The event, which this year is being held for the seventh time, has become a “firm” favourite on the uShaka Marine World calendar. With the help of Nestle, uShaka is offering prizes that include up to R50 000 in cash.
Remember though that the pageant is not just about bikinis, abs and biceps, but the judges are also looking for strong leadership and ambassadorial skills. These will make you the perfect representative for uShaka Marine World and its sponsors at various events. You’ll also be included in the Dolphin Dash fundraising event for Sea Animal Rescue.
Semi-finals take place on Saturday, March 12 in the Village Walk Shopping Mall at uShaka. The gala final takes place on Saturday, April 30 at the Standard Bank Dolphin stadium.

Previous winners have included Megan Coleman (Miss SA 2006), Jeslin Ganasen (Mr SA Model of the Year 2006), Devin O Malley (Mr SA finalist), Melody Zulu was in top five of the Nokia Face of Africa 2006 and a Miss SA finalist.
