March 2, 2011. The Ridge has received reports of a serious smash involving a truck near the Toll Plaza at Mariannhill. Both bounds have been affected. From Shongweni towards Toll Plaza Durban bound beware cargo in the road.
Hundreds of trucks were backed up earlier today near Pietermaritzburg as traffic was delayed on the Durban bound carriageway of the N3. Roadworks added to the usual congestion and hundreds of trucks were backed up all the way to Hilton.
