The IIE/Design School Southern Africa is proud to have been appointed as host for the 2015 Durban event: Night of 1000 Drawings – Doodle Session on Thursday 1 October 2015 from 6pm till late.
The theme for the evening will be “Doodle by Lantern Light”. How it works is that you come along, have a beer/coffee, hangout and doodle whatever you like on an A5 piece of paper (or whatever surface you like as long as it’s A5). Anything goes: doodles, scribbles, graffiti, sketches, watercolours, oil paintings, experimental or conceptual work.
This artwork then gets collected and sent up to JHB for an inner-city art exhibition and sale to raise funds for art education. Paper and pens to be provided otherwise bring with you any other material and equipment.
Vendors providing sustenance for the evening will be Craft Republic – distributors of awesome craft beer in KZN, The Digs Kitchen – innovative affordable healthy foods, and everyone’s favourite IWMC – iwantmycoffee! So please remember to bring some cash along too.
There will also be 15-minute themed “Doodle Battles” between two volunteers during the event.
This event is open to everyone and anyone so please spread the word.

There is no entry fee, you don’t need to be there for the entire evening and there is no time limit – pop in and out as you wish.
