South African icon and treasure PJ POWERS – Thandeka, has mesmerized South Africa and the world for over 40 years and voted one of the top ten people brands in South Africa in 2011, PJ Powers is living her dreams everyday as a musician, author, writer, story-teller, philanthropist, speaker and creative. This show is a stripped-downlook at songs from PJ Powers’ long and colourful career in the South African music industry. All of the well-loved hits are there – unplugged versions of “Feel So Strong”, through “The World in Union” and her ode to the Stadium she got to know so well while performing in Soweto in the 80s, “ Jabulani”. She also includes unplugged versions of her latest hits, “Destiny” and “Stay” that are enjoying airplay at the moment. She is accompanied by Knysna-based Tigger Reunert on acoustic guitar and they weave a beautiful and nostalgic tale covering the last thirty odd years in a show that sees them.
