In South Africa we are so often bemoaning the lack of service in businesses from restaurants to builders, and it is so lovely when you come across someone who will go that extra mile in our community.
P.J.Smith and Perfomance Painting are local through and through. PJ is a familiar sight on the Ridge, and is a Kearsney boy. During a varied business life he has lived for five years in San Diego, turned a coffee shop around, and is raising a young family here on the Ridge.
Amongst other things he has painted the whole of Gateway, the Crescent, Nelson Mandela’s home in Qunu, and will just as happily paint your kitchen. He is the Chairman of the Institute of Painting Contractors, and takes a huge pride in his work.
It isn’t often that I find myself thinking that I wish I could take the service here to London with me, but I did with these guys. On time, tidy, helpful, I was bowled over.
