Miss South Africa 2010 Bokang Ramaredi Montjane turned heads when Varsity College Durban North, on behalf of Reach for a Dream, hosted a Queen for a Day event with the Oyster Box Hotel, Red Cap Foundation, Lion Match Products and East Coast Limousines.

Reach for a Dream helps fulfill the dreams of children with life threatening illnesses and what girl does not dream of being a beauty queen? The Queen for a Day initiative crowns girls as queens for a day and helps reinforce how special and beautiful they are. It allows them to escape the hospital environment and forget the effects their illnesses have on their bodies, even if just for a day.
Upon arrival at Varsity College Durban North, the girls were escorted by well-presented young men to a decked out venue on the campus grounds. Here they enjoyed welcome drinks and snacks, socialised with Miss South Africa and loosened up with a dance activity run by fourth year education students. Once all the girls’ make-up and nails were done Bokang Ramaredi Montjane crowned each girl and bestowed them with their sash.
A photograph session followed after which the girls were chauffeured in limousines to the Oyster Box Hotel for High Tea fit for a queen. At the close of their day Miss South Africa delivered an inspiring address and presented them with a photograph memento of their day, as well as a goodie bag .
