REDD’s street carnival

By The Ridge Magazine18/11/20152 Mins Read
Shandu and Shezi have been training for the past few months and are ready for both the physical challenge as well as the environmental challenge

REDD’S will be heading to the playground of South Africa, on Saturday 28 November 2015 to unleash a carnival experience that is impossible to contain The REDDS Carnival Procession will showcase the diverse and colorful cultures that make the city unique with a display of arts and culture groups from Durban, parading from Ushaka Marine Parking lot C along the promenade to New Beach.

“REDD’S carnivals travel the nation and bring with them joy through music and art, in each city we go to we aim to provide a spectacular experience with our distinctive carnival that includes local art groups. We invite the residents of Durban to come join us and feel free to take part in the procession as they unleash their true selves” says Michelle Pavkovich, Marketing Manager of Redd’s South Africa.

The procession will start at 17:30 and promises a spectacular display of extravagant masks, colorful costumes, and specialty acts such as drummers, stilt walkers, pantsula dancers, giant puppets and South African-inspired floats as it livens things up on the beach. The procession will open the festivities up to an uncontained after party for adult consumers at New Beach, where festival-goers can expect to dance the night away to a mind- blowing line-up of leading local artist such as Cashtime,Dreamteam, Riky rick, Chad Da Don, Nasty C, P.H WTF, DJ Feel and many more, who will undoubtedly leave them entertained.

Tickets for the after party will be available for over 18s for R120.00 at Computicket and will be available at the door for the same price on the day of the carnival. Doors open at 18h00 and the after party will continue until midnight.

For an impossible to contain experience join REDD’S as they tantalize your senses with CRISPAAHHH moments.
