March 29, 2012: Nicholas and David Giddings of Ferrucci in Umhlanga wrote to The Ridge magazine describing the impact of the Ridge’s cover feature for March, “The Baker Boys”.
“We would like to extend our thanks to the team at The Ridge magazine for featuring us in last month’s issue (March 2012). We were awed at the mighty reader base of the magazine, which marched through our doors the weekend after the article was published. We were swept off our feet and quite unprepared for such a massive turnout.
“Struggling to ‘rise to the occasion’, we had to disappoint a few customers as we simply couldn’t cope. As with all things though, especially baking, a few ‘flops’ here and there are inevitable. We learnt our lesson and won’t be caught off guard again.
“All said and done it has been a huge boost to our business and a wholly positive experience. Thanks to The Ridge magazine and to all our customers who keep us on our feet.”
